This museum was established in 1987 and exhibits tea bowls and other tea ceremony related utensils made during the 17th century. Originally, a kiln used for Oniwa-yaki or garden wares was used here during the Edo period and was rebuilt on the museum's grounds. A tea service is available and visitors can also view the kiln.

Otsu ART MUSEUM

The Otsu Art museum was founded in 1971 and exhibits ancient paintings as well as pottery and porcelain of the region. Special event is held every Autumn.

Hitomi Museum

The Hitomi Museum houses the collection of Bernard LEACH (1887-1979) and includes ancient Chinese pottery, as well as Miro and Munakata woodblock prints. LEACH was a well known English potter who studied ceramics in various regions of Japan.

The Shigaraki Traditional Art Center was founded in 1977, and exhibits ancient Shigaraki-yaki, its related historical literature as well as contemporary works by the regional ceramists.

The Shigaraki-yaki Museum was founded in 1974, and exhibits more than 2,000 pieces of ancient Shigaraki-yaki which were made in Kamakura, Muromachi, Momoyama and Modern era.
