This Ceramic Art Center was founded with the theme of "Pottery Hometown" by Ebetsu-city in 1994. There are over three hundred potters in Hokkaido and ECAC exhibits works from seventy kilns in a permanent exhibition space. It also exhibits the ancient Chinese-style ware thrown by KUMORI Shizuo who was known as a researcher of Chinese wares and glazing techniques.
