The IGA AND SHIGARAKI POTTERY MUSEUM exhibits the collection of OKUCHI Isao, a well-known ceramics collector in the region. Thirty-five pieces of ancient Iga-yaki and Shigaraki-yaki are displayed; the museum was established in 1978.

This is the first museum in Kuwana-city and it houses the collection of the MATSUDAIRA Sadanobu family. MATSUDAIRA was a feudal lord in the region and his collection includes literature, teabowls, banko and ko-banko wares, Japanese paintings, tea ceremony utensils, and archaeological literature.

About 30,000 pieces of tea ceremony articles, pottery and porcelain, brush painting as well as old writings of Edo period are housed at SEKISUI Museum of Art. Special events are held three to four time a year.
