Natural history, history, folklore, industry exhibits, and arts and crafts by regional and international artists are on display. The collection features historical literature and artifacts dating from the stone age to modern times. These regional items relate to the culture and traditions of Saitama as well as to the Chinese tea world and the Japanese tea ceremony.

Sakitama Museum Archaeology and Folk Culture

Gyoda-city is well known for its tomb ruins and the museum is located at the famous Saitama tomb Saitama hudo ki no oka. Works such as earthenware and clay figures found at the ruins and literature, works related to archaeology, folklore, and equipment of regional agriculture are exhibited.

The collection of TOYAMA Genichi, a founder of Nikko Security company, is exhibited. Oriental works, such as painting, brush painting, and arts and crafts from Japan and China form the core of the collection. In addition, ancient art works from the Incan Empire are on display.
