Features of His Works Celebrated as a delicate technique, Ikomi is a thoroughly modern technique within ceramic history. NAGAE appreciates exquisite wares using Ikomi. Unpredictable curved forms caused by firing play a fundemental role in the process. Born into a potting family in the ancient ceramic city of Seto, NAGAE has been exploring graceful modern decorative works with an appreciation of tradition.
